The Fairy`s Dancing Hall

It`s so delicious to work hard in the dirt all afternoon and then come inside to a peaceful home and eat roast, sweet potatoes, potatoes, green beans, apricots, and carrots. You feel as though you have earned the meal and are actually truly craving for it. But before the meal we made a little haven for myself. I like to call it the Fairy`s Dance Hall; maybe that`s a tad bit childish. 😉

I started my herbies last year with rosemary, thyme, lavender, anise hyssop, bee balm, chives, cilantro, pineapple sage, and a few more. Now, this year only a few came back.

Mostly the chives.

These are new this year.

Thanks to a lot of help I also got a flower garden started this year.

They`re still so small!

What a beautiful thing to be in charge of all summer long! What a relaxing place to work in and sit in. And there are new things everyday, with new beauties and new hardships. What gardening have you done this year?

Oh Sarah! You’re a beautiful writer!! Some of my favorite moments are when we work in the garden as a family and then dad makes salsa and we grill and stay outside until it’s pitch dark, only coming inside to grab the ketchup. I can’t wait for the time I (or all of us “B” girls) can come to your house and explore your “grounds.” I love you girl!! Keep up blogging.
