Pure Nebraska Weather

Something light and fluffy dancing to the ground. It`s beautiful….. gorgeous, and cold. It`s a great wonder how it can be thought of as both an ice-biting murderer, and a Christmassy, elegant companion in the cold months. Snow.DSCN1355 I`ve been disappointed in snow this year. I`m usually exuberant about its coming but this year I didn`t want it to come. When it did I suddenly realized I had missed its cheery way of brightening up the inside and heartily welcomed it. And then guess what? It all melted away like an abandoned ice cream cone. I don`t think snow is out to please me this year.

Before it left though, Hannah (My wonderful, sweet, patient sister.) and I trekked out into the snow to fill my camera with pictures….

In cold weather I tend to want to protect myself inside next to a warm fire, piping hot tea steaming in my hand. I may peek outside and marvel at how shimmery it looks. Today the snow is gone and only a cold chill is left, so I`m going out to rake leaves in the pleasant sunshine, even though the wind numbs the cheeks. I`ll do my best to have fun in the pure Nebraska weather. And it wouldn`t surprise me if tomorrow I had snow again.

Beautiful photos, Sarah and Hannah! I love to take pictures of the shadows after it snows, too.

Shadows are so pretty! They create such a unique feeling in a picture.
